Trucking Company to Pay $243,000 for Subjecting African-American Employees to Racial Slurs and Nooses, Retaliation

WASHINGTON - In the latest of a series of successes in the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's (EEOC's) challenges to workplace racial harassment, the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld the EEOC's victory in obtaining a jury verdict and more than $243,000 in injunctive relief for victims of racial harassment and retaliation perpetrated by A.C. Widenhouse, Inc., a Concord, N.C.-based trucking company, the agency announced today.
