Not the First Exemption

Many advocates for gay and transgender students were surprised and angered when they learned that the U.S. Education Department had granted George Fox University and exemption from parts of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The exemption will permit George Fox to deny a transgender student the right to live in male housing.
