When evaluating a federal contractor's affirmative action compliance, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) looks at a myriad of factors. In a recent webinar, "Construction Contractors "16 Steps to AA Compliance," Gloria Moses-Harper, an OFCCP compliance officer, offered advice for construction contractors to meet their affirmative action obligations:
No harassment. “You must maintain a work environment free of harassment, intimidation, and coercion at all sites and facilities,” she says.
Recruitment. "You must establish and maintain a current list of recruitment sources and notify them in writing when you have jobs available. And you must keep a record of all the responses," Moses-Harper says.
