As demographics shift, so should race policies

The Bellingham Herald By MICHAEL SMERCONISH - The Philadelphia Inquirer POSTED: Monday, Apr. 04, 2011 After being honorably discharged from the Army, Iraq war veteran Colby Bohannan found the college-application process to be an eye-opener. He saw many scholarships for minorities, but none for his demographic: white men. So the Texas State University student formed the Former Majority Association for Equality and is offering $500 scholarships exclusively to white male students. "Diversity is not a bad thing," he explained to me recently. "We're not here to make a stand against affirmative action. Or to make a stand for affirmative action."
